SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER - MIDDLE SCHOOL

Blazer Works is partnering with a local school district to hire a qualified Middle School Special Education Teacher. The teacher must meet the specified requirements listed below.

Those employed for the available positions will serve as contract workers. All administrative support, including benefits, claims, and human resources, will be managed by Blazer Works.

Full-Time Employee Benefits:
As a contract worker, the teacher is only required to work contracted hours. They are not expected to participate in morning/afternoon duty, stay late for Parent-Teacher Conferences, attend professional development days, or take part in other functions unless specifically outlined in the contract.

Candidate Qualifications:
Information regarding specific certification and licensing requirements for educators in Illinois can be found on the Department of Education website.

  • Bachelor’s in Special Education or a degree specific to teaching students with Special Needs.

  • Illinois Professional Educators License.

  • Previous experience in a school setting is preferred.

Job Specifics:

  • Full-Time Employment

  • Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:45 a.m. – 3:15 p.m.

  • 2024-2025 School Year

  • Start Date: August 19, 2025

  • End Date: June 3, 2026

Middle School Special Education Teacher

Job Responsibilities:
Additional details about job specifics will be provided during the interview process.

  • Teacher will demonstrate a working knowledge of educational pedagogy.

  • Teacher will create engaging lessons that meet state standards, ensuring all students can access the curriculum.

  • Teacher will provide differentiated instruction based on strengths and needs outlined in students' Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).

  • Teacher will monitor and report progress toward current IEP goals and collaborate with service providers to identify areas for further focus.

  • Teacher will maintain positive relationships with parents, administrators, grade-level and content area teams, and service providers, fostering a collaborative environment focused on student growth.

Interview Specifics:

  • Applicants will undergo a prescreening process with Blazer Works recruiters to ensure qualifications are met.

  • Applicants will be interviewed by the school or district department lead in a 30-minute Zoom call.

  • The school/district may request a second interview on campus.

  • In collaboration with the school/district, Blazer Works will offer qualified candidates the position and begin the onboarding process.
