Special Education Teacher (SPED) – On-Site
We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher (SPED) to join our team and support students with diverse learning needs. This is a full-time, on-site position with structured work hours. The ideal candidate is passionate about working with students who require specialized instruction, including those with severe behavioral challenges, below-grade-level skills, and autism spectrum disorders (life skills, verbal/non-verbal).
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to meet students' unique needs.
- Provide direct instruction in academic, social, and functional skills.
- Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to ensure student success.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff.
- Manage and address behavioral challenges using evidence-based strategies.
- Maintain clear communication with parents/guardians and participate in IEP meetings.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal special education regulations.
Qualifications:
- Valid MA Special Education Certification (Required)
- Experience working with students with behavioral needs, autism, or life skills programs preferred.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate in a team-oriented environment.
