Special Education (SPED) Teacher
Location: Denver, CO
Position Type: Full-Time, Onsite, Contract
A local school district in the Denver area is urgently looking to expand their team by hiring an experienced, passionate, and licensed Special Education (SPED) teacher to work with their K-5th grade students for the remainder of the upcoming school year.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Special Education or a related field
- Active Teacher Certificate with SPED endorsement
- Proven experience working with students with diverse learning needs in an inclusion or self-contained classroom setting.
- Strong understanding of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), behavior management techniques, and instructional accommodations
- Knowledge of various instructional strategies and methodologies for students with disabilities
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for making a positive impact on the lives of students with special needs
Schedule:
- Fulltime – 37.5 hours per week minimum and maximum guaranteed, Mon-Fri only
- Caseload: Mild/Moderate Classroom
- Elementary School Students w/ SPED Team including Psych and Paras for your support
- Scheduled off on holidays and school breaks
