Hours: Full-time, 35 hours/week, Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM Caseload: Itinerant Teacher serving approximately 30 students in community preschools

What You'll Do:

• Provide specialized instruction and support to preschool students with diverse special education needs within their community preschool environments.
• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) in collaboration with preschool staff, parents, and district personnel.
• Conduct assessments and monitor student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed.
• Collaborate effectively with community preschool teachers and staff to integrate support and strategies into their classrooms.
• Travel between various community preschool locations within the county (mileage reimbursement provided).
• Maintain accurate and organized student records.
• Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities.
• Receive comprehensive guidance and training to ensure a smooth and successful start in your role.

What You'll Bring:

• Required: Certification in PK-4 and/or Special Education in Pennsylvania. (We will consider emergency certification for candidates with out-of-state certifications).
• A deep commitment to the success and well-being of young children with special needs.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to work independently and manage your time effectively as an itinerant teacher.
• A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• A proactive and positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow.

Compensation & Benefits:

We value our dedicated educators and are proud to offer the average competitive hourly rate of $40-$55 based on experience for a contract special education teacher. In addition to this competitive compensation, you will be joining a supportive district that is committed to your professional growth and provides a collaborative and positive work environment.
