A school district in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a School Social Worker for the 2024-2025 school year. This role provides an excellent opportunity to support students' emotional, social, and academic success in a collaborative educational environment.

Position Details

• Location: Grand Rapids, MI
• Job Type: Full-Time
• Start Date: ASAP
• Caseload: Varies (to be discussed during the interview)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling to support students' social-emotional well-being
• Develop and implement behavior intervention plans
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to create a positive learning environment
• Assist in crisis intervention and provide mental health support
• Support students with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Serve as a liaison between families, schools, and community resources

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work
• Active Michigan School Social Worker License
• Experience working in school or youth-focused settings preferred
• Strong ability to collaborate and communicate effectively
