South Carolina requires SLPs to hold a master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, ASHA certification (CCC-SLP), and licensure through the South Carolina Board of Examiners in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology. A state Department of Education certificate is also required for school-based roles.
