Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Speech Language Pathologists for a full-time role with school districts in the Houston, TX area. We are looking for dedicated professionals who are passionate about helping students achieve their communication and academic goals.

Requirements:
Applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered:

  • Hold a Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders

  • Possess an active Texas Speech-Language Pathologist License issued by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR)

  • Hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA (preferred but not always required, depending on district guidelines)

  • Have prior experience working as a Speech Language Pathologist in a school setting

  • Meet all local and state compliance requirements, including fingerprinting, background checks, and required continuing education

Applicants who do not meet the outlined requirements will not be considered for this role.

Responsibilities:
Typical responsibilities for this position may include:

  • Conducting speech and language assessments to identify student needs

  • Developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with speech and language impairments

  • Providing direct therapy services to students individually or in groups

  • Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other support staff to support student progress

  • Documenting services and maintaining detailed records in compliance with district and state guidelines

  • Participating in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team conferences

  • Engaging in professional development to stay current with best practices and regulatory requirements
