We are currently seeking a compassionate and skilled Physical Therapist to join our team and support students' physical development and well-being.
We are looking for a School-Based Physical Therapist to evaluate and treat students with physical impairments in a school setting. This role will collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and other school personnel to design and implement physical therapy programs that support student learning and mobility. The Physical Therapist will work with students of all ages and abilities to enhance their functional skills and provide services in accordance with individualized education plans (IEPs).
Conduct physical therapy evaluations for students with disabilities, assessing their needs and developing individualized therapy plans.
Implement physical therapy interventions as outlined in students' IEPs to improve mobility, strength, coordination, and overall physical functioning.
Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and other school professionals to support students' academic and social development.
Monitor students' progress, adjust therapy plans as needed, and communicate regularly with parents and school staff about progress and goals.
Provide training and education to school staff on proper techniques and interventions to support students with physical impairments.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for all students receiving therapy services.
Attend IEP meetings, parent conferences, and other school-related events as necessary.
Stay informed about current trends in school-based physical therapy and contribute to the professional development of the school community.
Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist (or eligibility to obtain licensure).
Experience working with children or in a school setting is preferred, but not required.
Strong understanding of physical disabilities and their impact on students' learning and development.
Ability to develop and implement individualized therapy plans and interventions.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work collaboratively with students, staff, and families.
Passion for working with children and supporting their academic success.
