Part-Time Physical Therapist (PT) Job Opening - Extended School Year
Blazer Jobs is now scheduling interviews for an experienced and compassionate Physical Therapist to join a dedicated team in Algonquin, Illinois for the Extended School Year (ESY) program. This is a part-time, contract-based opportunity in a school-based setting, ideal for professionals passionate about helping students reach their full potential.
Minimum Requirements:
Active Illinois Physical Therapist license
Compliance with all local and state educational and healthcare regulations
School-based experience preferred, especially with special education students and families
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Typical Job Duties:
Perform evaluations and develop treatment plans based on students’ physical therapy needs
Provide direct services to support students' mobility, strength, and motor function in educational settings
Collaborate with IEP teams to develop and update physical therapy goals
Document services and student progress in compliance with school and state guidelines
Consult with teachers, staff, and parents to support carryover of therapy strategies in the classroom and at home
Participate in team meetings and contribute to planning for student success
