Classroom Paraprofessional Positions
We are excited to announce openings for Classroom Aides (Paraprofessionals) at both the High School and Elementary School levels. These full-time positions will provide direct support to students and teachers in a variety of classroom settings.
Position 1: High School Paraprofessional
Location: PLUM, PA
Schedule: Full-Time, 37.5 hours per week
Grade Level: High School
As a High School Paraprofessional, you will assist teachers in providing academic and behavioral support to students, ensuring a productive and inclusive learning environment. You will work closely with students, particularly those needing additional support, and assist in delivering educational materials and individualized instruction.
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students in various subjects.
- Assist with classroom management and maintaining a positive learning environment.
- Help students with special needs, including academic, behavioral, and social-emotional support.
- Assist with classroom materials, technology, and resources.
- Support teachers in lesson delivery, assessments, and individualized instruction.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with high school-aged students or in an educational setting is preferred.
- Ability to engage and motivate students in a high school environment.
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach.
- Ability to assist with student behavior management and academic support.
Position 2: Elementary School Paraprofessional
Schedule: Full-Time, 37.5 hours per week
Grade Level: Elementary School
The Elementary School Paraprofessional will support classroom teachers in nurturing the academic and social development of young students. This role is crucial in creating a safe and engaging learning environment where students thrive.
Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and small group support to students in various subjects.
- Assist with classroom management and maintaining student engagement.
- Help students with tasks such as reading, writing, and other academic activities.
- Monitor students during classroom activities, recess, and other school events.
- Assist teachers in the preparation of materials, resources, and lesson plans.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with elementary-aged students is preferred.
- Strong communication skills, patience, and the ability to work with diverse learners.
